Free Arterial Stiffness Tests at Evergreen Wellness

Dr. Peter Yam invites you to set up your appointment now for a free Arterial Stiffness Test during Naturopathic Medicine Week. Call the doctor’s office at 250-881-7800 to set up your appointment (office hours are 9:00 – 5:00pm Monday to Friday).

What is an Arterial Stiffness Index (ASI) Test?

If arteries are non-flexible or hardened, the heart has to work much harder in order to push the blood through the partially occluded vessels.  These blockages and the extra strain on the heart are root causes of cardiovascular (CV) disease. The ASI is a quick way to determine whether your blood vessels have lost their elasticity and flexibility. The higher the ASI, the more likely you are to have hardening of the arteries.

Special Instructions: By appointment only. Please wear a loose-fitting t-shirt or shirt for this test.
