Biography

I fell in love with natural medicine when I was a young teen with health issues, namely juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and migraines, and got a job at the local health food store.  Through self-education and experimentation I learned that I could manage my migraines and joint pain with fewer and fewer meds, until I was able to stop them altogether in my mid-teens and start living my best life!

By 14 years old I knew that my vocation was to be a naturopathic doctor – I just had to jump through some hoops first…like finishing high school, starting and finishing university, going to naturopathic college…

My primary areas of interest are:

Digestion – our health is so strongly influenced by what we do/do not absorb, and how well we detoxify and eliminate.

Hormones – from puberty to fertility, pregnancy to menopause I love supporting women to feel their best at all stages of life.  [I support men as well.]  Adrenals, thyroid, and blood sugar hormones are also pivotal to robust, long-term health and for aging beautifully with minimal symptoms.  I enjoy working with my fellow Gen X women as we navigate these interesting midlife changes and evolve into our best selves!

Mental health – there are always going to be up days and down days but feeling good and clear-headed is our right!  Addressing imbalances in neurotransmitters and thought patterns, while ensuring that digestion is working well and hormones are optmized, can have a tremendous impact on the joy we get from living each day.  If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, brain fog, ASD, or overwhelm I’d love to help you through that.

I’m the proud mother of a thriving micro-preemie born at 26 weeks, as well as a robust “termie”.  I work with children of all ages particuarly in the areas mentioned above: digestion, hormones, and mental wellness.  I’m happy to support families navigating life in the NICU, and children with more complex needs.

I offer 15 minute meet-and-greet appointments so that we can see if we’re a good fit for each other.  I look forward to meeting you!

Appointments can be virtual or through one of my two locations in either Kitsilano or Yaletown.
